Planning for Your Appointment

The veterinarians at Stringtown Animal Hospital aim to make your pet’s visit as smooth and efficient as possible, minimizing stress and lengthy waiting times. Here’s a handy guide on how you can prepare for your appointment at home.

A few days prior to appointment:

  • Inform our staff of any updates to medical records or recent emergency room visits, so we can obtain the most current medical information.
  • Notify the staff of any changes to your address, phone numbers, or the pets in your home.
  • Bring your cat’s carrier out of storage and into a common living area. Giving treats or meals in the carrier is a great idea to get them used to going inside!
  • Verify that you have calming medication if your pet requires it.
  • Ensure you have all the requested paperwork filled out and submitted to the office (new patient form, updated client form). If you need another copy just notify the staff!

The day of your appointment:

  • Collect a fecal sample in case it is needed for testing.
  • Give calming medication at prescribed times if needed.
  • Make notes of any questions or concerns you may have for the veterinarian.⁣
